8 – 18th November 2018: SHOUT– The festival of queer arts & culture for Birmingham
SHOUT grew out of a desire to celebrate and promote the diversity of Birmingham’s LGBT cultural community. Launching in 2009, SHOUT Festival (a project of Birmingham LGBT) was created as a direct response to a significant lack of representation for of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, and Queer in Birmingham’s arts venues.

Part of the “Fresh Off the Boat” Asian Comedy Season from Victoria Park Productions is supported by BFI’s Comedy Genius programme.
Bhaji on the Beach with a very special Q&A hosted by Radio & TV Broadcaster Suzi Mann. The evening is a celebration of Asian Female comedic talent with a special screening of the acclaimed film, directed by Gurinder Chadha and written by Meera Syal.

Not completely understanding the gravity of their situation, Hilda and Jim react archaically and insufficiently after the attack — and the film takes a dark turn as the radiation begins taking its toll on the unsuspecting couple.
