Rocket Raccoon: Marvel Tales
Issue 1
Marvel Comics
Script -Bill Mantlo
Art – Mike Mignola
Buy digitally on Comixology – Rocket Raccoon: Marvel Tales #1 (Link)
The fiery furball known as Rocket Raccoon shows he has what it takes to one day be a Guardian of the Galaxy as we celebrate the legacy of the House of Ideas with MARVEL TALES! This anthology series shines a spotlight on fan-favorite characters, features timeless stories and highlights some of Marvel’s most impressive talent from the past eight decades! In ROCKET RACCOON (1985) #1-4, acclaimed writer Bill Mantlo teamed with superstar-in-waiting Mike Mignola to present Rocket’s first solo adventure as Guardian of the Keystone Quadrant! When Rocket’s girlfriend Lylla is kidnapped by the mercenary Blackjack O’Hare and held captive by Lord Dyvyne, one of the most powerful creatures on Halfworld, it’s up to the galaxy’s deadliest weapons expert to go in—guns blazing—and save the day!
With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 about to hit cinemas, now if the perfect time to rediscover the origins of our favourite Raccoon. This collection of the original 4 issue mini series features excellent writing from one of my personal favourites, Bill Mantlo, along with early art, from the soon to legendary, Mike Mignola. This is an incredible series and if you missed it first time around this is a great value package.

Catch up with Niles Caulder, Mento, Flex Mentallo, and more as we learn terrible secrets that could bring the new team to their knees before they even have a chance to get started. There’s a traitor in their midst and it’s not who you think!
The first issue was a blast and set the stage for this iteration of the team. The writing and art were top notch and I’m looking forward to where the story will take us.
What’s The Furthest Place From Here?

Sid’s story continues!
After the shocking revelations in the last issue, we fall back into Sid’s journey. We’ll see some “old” familiar faces and some horrifying new ones as she fights for her life against the most dangerous threat yet.
WTFPFH? continues to be one of Image’s best books. Things are getting fleshed out in surprising ways and I can’t wait to see how it all works out.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin – The Lost Years
Issue 3
IDW Publishing
Script – Tom Waltz and Kevin Eastman
Art – SL Galant, Ben Bishop and Maria Keane
Colours – Luis Antonio Delgado and Ifan Noor
Letters – Shawn Lee
THE TALE OF THE LAST RONIN’S FIRST MISSION CONTINUES! In the past: Michelangelo’s quest for vengeance takes him further westward and the fighting forms he’s mastered thus far will prove invaluable as he faces yet another adversary. Nothing will stand in the way of his quest to return to New York City and avenge his family for the fates suffered at the hands of the Foot Clan except maybe the chiding voices of his dead brothers. Meanwhile, in the present (a.k.a. our future!), Casey Marie Jones does her best to rear the next generation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as both their master and surrogate mother and she’s finding she’s not sure which undertaking is more difficult!
This book is incredible. It does a great job of filling in some of blanks from the Lost Ronin series whilst expanding on what comes next. A must for all Turtles fans.
Star Trek
Issue 7
IDW Publishing
Script – Collin Kelly
Art – Mike Feehan
Buy digitally on Comixology – Star Trek #7 (Link)
Continuing Benjamin Sisko’s quest to stop celestial genocide in “The Red Path,” the second arc of the critically acclaimed Star Trek flagship comic series continues! Sisko returns to Deep Space 9, and it’s the family reunion we’ve all been waiting for-or is it? Meanwhile, the crew of the U.S.S. Theseus meet a familiar face from Paramount+ hit show Lower Decks.
Exactly what a Star Trek book should be. This series continues to be a delight and with a guest appearance from one of the Lower Decks crew this issue things could get a little weird.
Sins of Sinister: Dominion
Issue 1
Marvel Comics
Script – Kieron Gillen
Art – Paco Medina and Lucas Werneck
Colours – Bryan Valenza
Letters – Clayton Cowles
Buy digitally on Comixology – Sins of Sinister: Dominion #1 (Link)
SEVEN TRILLION DEADLY SINS! A thousand years of hell and damnation comes to end with the loudest scream in history and for the truly guilty, there is no escape. Can the future change the present, or will we just make all the same mistakes again? Either way, the present will have to live with the future’s sins.
SINS OF SINISTER TIE-IN
The Sins of Sinister mini-series were a lot of fun an this one-shot will tie it all up. I’d be surprise if it was tied up in a nice neat bow but with The Fall of the Mutants on the horizon I’m sure Mr. Sinister will be back for more.
Betsy Braddock: Captain Britain
Issue 3
Marvel Comics
Script – Tini Howard
Art – Vasco Georgiev
Colours – Erick Arciniega
Letters – Ariana Maher
Buy digitally on Comixology – Betsy Braddock: Captain Britain #3 (Link)
THE FORGEMASTER FEDERAL IS THE CAPTAIN BRITAIN WE DESERVE! He’s here to right wrongs, defend the innocent and—oh wait, Morgan Le Fay put him in power? So much for the campaign slogans. Betsy Braddock is down for the count, Rachel Summers is iced out and the most powerful witch in history is about to take the entire kingdom for herself. Britain needs true allies—but they may have to come from foreign lands…
I’m quite enjoying this new run of Captain Britain. I’d like to see more connections with the past and a more from Brian and Meggan.
Dungeons and Dragons: Saturday Morning Adventures
Issue 2
IDW Publishing
Script – David M. Booher
Art – George Kambadais
Buy digitally on Comixology – Dungeons and Dragons: Saturday Morning Adventures #2 (Link)

But it’s more than just the wonders of Waterdeep that have enchanted Presto, Bobby, Hank, and Sheila. Will everyone come to their senses in time?
The first issue flew by so I’m hoping there is more to get our teeth into in this second issue. If you loved the cartoon, you’ll get a kick out of this series.
