It’s Wednesday so that means it’s time to pick you the new comics from Worlds Apart Birmingham (formerly Nostalgia & Comics) or it’s distingushed competition Forbidden Planet. These are Geeky Brummie’s picks of the comics available today from your local comic book store.
My comic of the week this week is the first issue of a new creator owned series by Jonathan Hickman – Decorum #1 from Image Comics.
I also recommend a bunch of other great comics to discover this week including a bunch of Marvel, IDW, DC and Ahoy Comics titles and a new comic from Archaia.

Jonathan Hickman has been making news recently with his major shake-up of the X-Men over t Marvel. Now he is back with a new creator owned title at Image. The big draw on this book is artist Mike Huddleston who hasn’t done much interior art for comic in over 5 years. From the previews I’ve seen his work on this title appears to zig-zag stylistically recalling the work of artists like Mike Del Mundo, Phil Noto, Rod Reis, Tula Lotay and Jim Mahfood. I don’t know much more about the title and your enjoyment may vary depending on how much you like Hickman’s writing and Huddleston’s art – the chances are this story will be complex but will take its time to reveal the whole story.
