Title: Planet-Size X-Men
Issue: 1
Publisher: Marvel Comics
Written by Gerry Duggan : Art by Pepe Larraz
THEY CAME TO SLAY!
The HELLFIRE GALA rages on, but bigger things are afoot a world away. Make no mistake – this is an X-Men book drawn by superstar artist Pepe Larraz. It is absolutely the most important issue of the month.
So much is happening in the mutant books right now. With the Hellfire Gala raging across the whole line we now have this planetary shift as things change in a massive way for the X-Men. Rumour has it the mutants of Krakoa are moving to Mars and I guess this book will confirm or deny that rumour. Whatever happens it looks like life won’t be the same for the mutants in the near future.
Title: New Mutants
Issue: 19
Publisher: Marvel Comics
Written by Vita Ayala : Art by Alex Lins
AND I’LL CRY IF I WANT TO…
The HELLFIRE GALA is here, and the NEW MUTANTS have the chance to take a break from training the youth of Krakoa – an opportunity to get dressed up and get down. But not everyone is on their best behavior…and someone has vanished without a trace.
New Mutants continues to rock and artist Alex Lins steps in for the next couple of issues. I love this cover which totally harks back to the glory days of the title when Bill Senkevich was lead artist on the title. With Planet-Size X-Men also out this week it’s big changes all round.
On the radar this week some other comics not on the Pull List but well worth checking out:

Her world has been destroyed, and the bad guys responsible are still out there. She wants revenge, and if Supergirl doesn’t help her, she’ll do it herself, whatever the cost. Static: Season One #1
DC Comics/Milestone
Written by Vita Ayala : Art by ChrisCross and Nikolas Draper-Ivey
From the Publisher:
At long last, the most famous face of the Milestone Universe is making his shocking return! Bullied nerd Virgil Hawkins wasn’t the kind of kid you’d normally find on the streets at a protest– but like everyone else in the city of Dakota, he was fed up. Unfortunately, the first time he stood up to raise his voice, the world turned upside down. The experimental tear gas released that day left some of his classmates maimed or dead…but it left Virgil, and others, with stunning new abilities. Virgil has power inside him now — real power, the ability to channel and manipulate electromagnetic fields. But there’s anger burning inside him, too. What is he supposed to do about all of this? And first and foremost — what is he supposed to do about his bullies, now that they’ve got superpowers too? A dynamic creative team of new comics voices and Milestone Media veterans join forces to open up a new chapter in the story of the most iconic Black teen superhero in comics history.
