Two original stars of Cult Irish film The Commitments will be reuniting in Birmingham in September for a celebration of the 1991 Alan Parker film.
The film, adapted from a book written by Roddy Doyle and directed by Alan Parker, told the story of a group of aspiring musicians from Dublin who put together a soul band with the help of their manager Jimmy Rabbitte to escape the drudgery of everyday life, inspired by legends of soul such as Marvin Gaye and James Brown.
Many of the young actors such as Angeline Ball and Bronagh Gallagher went on to become established stars of film and TV in EastEnders and Shameless to name but a few.
