AnimeCon UK to come to London (& return to Birmingham) in 2024

Already returning to Birmingham in 2024, if that’s not enough, AnimeCon UK have also now confirmed a second show at London Drumsheds too! So you can get double your AnimeCon UK fun in 2024!
The two shows announced are:
AnimeCon UK – London Feb 3-4 2024
AnimeCon’s London debut will take over the capitals hottest new event space – Drumsheds, a multi-level, multi-room venue set in a disused industrial warehouse in North London, and promises to be the capital’s must-attend event in 2024 for keen Anime, Manga and Ota-Culture fans. Earlybird Tickets are already available at £15 +booking fee
Clive Nørgaard Morton, Co-Founder of AnimeCon UK explains;
“We’ve secured a really exciting new venue for our first show in London and it’s shaping up to be a brilliant event, with talent just being confirmed and our artist alley almost 100% full. There are thousands of anime and manga fans based in the capital and we’re looking to create a show which brings the community together, celebrating all forms of Asian entertainment.”
Exhibit space is already 75% sold with some options still available for brands and artists looking to get involved in the inaugural London event.

Things to do
Con-goers can also expect to meet the voices behind the most popular anime and gaming characters, shop all things anime from over 100 artists, walk the event’s red carpet and catch talks and live podcasts on the main stage.
The 3rd and 4th of February will see the anime elite descend upon London for AnimeCon’s premiere event in the city. The lineup is being tantalisingly drip-fed, but much to the satisfaction of gaming sensation Genshin Impact fans voice actors from the game are already heavily featured.
Artists already confirmed include voice acting legend Keith Silverstein, who plays Zhongli in Genshin and Torbjörn in Overwatch, Brianna Knickerbocker the voice of Hu Tao, Josey Montana McCoy who voices Kaeya and Nazeeh Tarsha who plays Alhaitham.
Fans can also expect a raft of entertainment including the Artists Alley which will feature a pop-up market bursting at the seams with anime artists showing off their wares, cosplayers and even an appearance from the celebrated London anime themed restaurant Uzumaki.
If this wasn’t enough for fans they can also purchase a ticket to the famous anime After Party which will be held in the illustrious Drumsheds music hall. Headed up by international pop culture host and DJ, Level Up Leroy, the After Party is sure to go off. With cosplay dress actively encouraged, Drumsheds won’t have seen a party like this before.
AnimeCon UK London – Partners with Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM)
One of the UK’s leading mental health charities dedicated to suicide prevention, Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) with partner with AnimeCon London.
Every week 125 people in the UK take their own lives. CALM exists to change this – by offering life-saving services, provoking national conversation, and bringing people together to reject living miserably.
CALM will be partnering with a number of AnimeCon’s most talented artists to build a collection of exclusive art, just for the London show. The art will then be sold at the show, with a portion of the proceeds being donated directly to the charity. Attendees will also be able to pledge a voluntary donation at the point of sale when purchasing a ticket.
Gearing up for its first event in London after a huge success at the NEC in Birmingham, AnimeCon UK has made a promise to fans. Alongside its commitment to mental health AnimeCon will hold itself to the highest standard of accessibility to ensure that people from all walks of life are able to attend and feel welcomed at its maiden event at Drumsheds.
AnimeCon’s Clive Norgaard Morton explains “Creating a safe space for attendees to enjoy the event and to be free to be themselves is at the heart of what AnimeCon is all about. It’s of paramount importance to the event organisers that people have the facilities they need to be able to comfortably enjoy their day.”
Working hand in hand with Drumsheds, AnimeCon UK have worked to produce visual guides which are easier to digest for those with communication difficulties to ensure they can prepare themselves well for the event.
Security staff will be on hand to ensure the safety of the attendees and will be briefed especially for the care of event attendees.
Drumsheds has step-free access from Meridian Water station via a lift and is served by low-floor TFL bus services with dedicated wheelchair spaces and ramps. The venue has mobile accessible toilets outside the venue and accessible toilets on levels 0 and 1. They also have a fully trained medical team on hand at every event.
AnimeCon UK – Birmingham NEC 15-16 June 2024
Taking place at the NEC on 15 – 16 June, AnimeCon Birmingham will be our second show in the Midlands after a huge triumph in 2023 with thousands of happy visitors enjoying the show. AnimeCon will bring together communities of artists, anime fanatics, pro cosplayers as well as the K-pop and J-pop obsessed, for a unique showcase of Otaku popular culture.
