New Comic Book Day with Death’s Head.
Time to pick up some new comics from Worlds Apart Birmingham (formerly Nostalgia & Comics). These are Geeky Brummie’s picks of the comics available today from your local comic book store – it’s a pretty quiet week for one reason or another but we recommend you pick up the second issue of Death’s Head.
Title: Death’s Head
Publisher: Marvel Comics
Issue No.: 2
Creative Team: Tini Howard – Writer : Kei Zama – Artist : Nick Roche – Cover Artist : John McCrea – Variant Cover Artist
The first issue really set the tone for this series. Tini and Kei have done a great job capturing the spirit of the original Death’s Head series but have created something that is truly their own. I’m excited to find out where they are going to take us and I hope that this series is popular enough that Marvel will do more with the character and his Marvel UK stablemates.
From the Publisher:
“Billy Kaplan’s been keeping a secret — and this time, there’ll be no wishing away the consequences. What’s a “younger,” upgraded version of Death’s Head doing in Wiccan and Hulkling’s apartment?! Death’s Head goes on a shooting spree for answers — but he just might find himself outmatched this time.“
Also out this week are some other comics I recommend you take a look at including Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen #2, Powers of X #3, History of the Marvel Universe #2, Eve Stranger #3 and Warlord of Mars Attacks #3.
