He’s being called out for lying by cyberbullies Dragon, who is trying to see if Cedric really has the Godzilla chops, and Karen Higa, who has her own agenda. DCI Hedrek Stern Returns
Scratch Comics supremo Shane Chebsey has recently launched the Kickstarter for the second issue of Hedrek: Night Of The Mummers. There are some great perks for backing the campaign, including the opportunity to catch up with issue one. You’ll find the link to the Kickstarter page at the bottom of this piece, so be sure to go and pledge. I’ll turn you over to Shane now, to give you the low down on what to expect from the return of DCI Hedrek.
The original tagline for Hedrek from writer Laurence Alison was “Columbo Meets the Wickerman”… with this issue you can add a touch of Line Of Duty as our lead characters start to realise that the the group of Mummers that have been causing havoc is much bigger than they thought and secretly extends into the highest levels of society.
This issue the brown stuff really hits the fan and the action and intrigue is wound up to level 10.
We find out more about our characters, especially our man Hedrek.
Writer Laurence Alison and artist David Hitchcock return and are in great form.
And don’t worry if you missed issue #1.
This campaign gives you the option to pick up both #1 and #2 to give you the full 56 page story.
And as with issue #1 this second issue includes a whole set of extra material in the back matter. This time around we are delighted to be including a full set of Tarot cards that are not only offered as an add on, but are fully illustrated by Gabrielle Noble and fully written by Laurence, giving each card a full profile.
