The original Defenders are back. This is the start of a five part series reuniting the first Defenders line-up of Hulk, Namor, Doctor Strange and The Silver Surfer. It’s a weekly event series with Namor #1 also out this week. Al Ewing has been doing a great job on the regular Immortal Hulk series so any way of getting more of that is very welcome.

Title: Doomsday Clock
Publisher: DC Comics
Issue No.: 8
Creative Team: Writer – Geoff Johns : Illustrator & Cover – Gary Frank
I must admit I had a less than favourable reaction to DC Rebirth. It didn’t feel right at the time to drag the Watchmen characters kicking and screaming in to the wider DC universe. Geoff Johns and Gary Frank have done a great job convincing me otherwise. This series has been very respectful to the source material and is proving to be a very enjoyable comic. We’re well past the half way point now and I’m looking forward to seeing how this story plays out. This was delayed from last week and may well be delayed again.
From the Publisher:
“The critical and commercial hit series by Geoff Johns and Gary Frank continues following the shocking revelations of last issue. As the truth behind Dr. Manhattan’s actions against the DC Universe are revealed, Ozymandias turns to the only being who can stop him: Superman. “
