The Geeky Brummie Pull List with Dead Eyes.
It’s Wednesday so that means it’s time to pick you the new comics from Worlds Apart Birmingham (formerly Nostalgia & Comics) or Forbidden Planet. These are Geeky Brummie’s picks of the comics available today from your local comic book store.
There are a lot more independent publishers books out this week so it’s a chance for you to try something outside the Big 2. My pick of the week this week is the rather excellent Dead Eyes #4
I also recommend a bunch of other great comics to discover this week and you can find them all in my pull list below.
If all of these great comics aren’t enough for you then why not bolster your reading list by checking out some of my previous choices in the videos at the bottom of the page.
Title: Dead Eyes
Publisher: Image Comics
Issue No.: 4
Creative Team: Gerry Duggan – Writer : John McCrea – Artist & Cover Artist : Nic Vas – Variant Cover Artist
It’s so great to this book back on our shelves. This issue brings us to the end of the current story arc and I’m looking forward to where Gerry and John take us next. Gerry is a writer who excels at this kind of story but it’s been John’s art that has really made this book something special. I’ve been a fan of John’s work for a long time and with this book and Yondu at Marvel showcasing his incredible talents I’m sure his fan-base will continue to grow. A trade collection of this run will be available in March so make sure you don’t miss out on this great little comic.
From the Publisher:
“END OF STORY ARC
Dead Eyes’ secret identity gets a little less secret as the mafia situation comes to a head and he finds a brutal new enemy in Boston’s finest.“
My Pulls
In the rest of my pull this week we have The Question: The Deaths of Vic Sage #2, Rom: Dire Wraiths #1, Second Coming #6, Steeple #5 and Hellboy Winter Special 2019
