The Geeky Brummie Pull List with Excalibur.
Time to pick up some new comics from Worlds Apart Birmingham (formerly Nostalgia & Comics). These are Geeky Brummie’s picks of the comics available today from your local comic book store.
The New Year is off to a slow start with only a few books of note for me this week. This is a good thing after the expense of Christmas. Bizarrely it’s a very merry Marvel mutant dominated week with my pick of the week being Excalibur #5
I also recommend a bunch of other great comics to discover this week and you can find them all in my pull list below.
If all of these great comics aren’t enough for you then why not bolster your reading list by checking out some of my previous choices in the videos at the bottom of the page.
Title: Excalibur
Publisher: Marvel
Issue No.: 5
Creative Team: Tini Howard – Writer : Marcus To – Artist : Mahmud Asraz – Cover Artist : Philip Tan & Will Sliney – Variant Cover Artists
It seems like we are on a near weekly schedule with all the Dawn of X books. At times it feels a little overwhelming. I hope that these titles don’t burn themselves out to soon. I’m enjoying Excalibur a lot and I hope we get to see more of Captain Britain and Pete Wisdom for a long time to come. I’d like to see more MI-13 action too. This issue also features a lovely Rogue cover.
From the Publisher:
“The Secret of Rogue’s Coffin!
Locked in her mysterious coffin, Rogue dreams. Meanwhile, Apocalypse performs a ritual, and the throne of power changes hands. The reign of mutantkind reaches the Otherworld at last.“
My Pulls
In the rest of my pull this week we have 2000 AD #2163, Deadpool #2, The Immortal Hulk #29, Yondu #4 and New Mutants #5
