Now on with the comics…
Transformers
Issue 4
Skybound/Image Comics
Script and Art – Daniel Warren Johnson
Colours – Mike Spicer
Letters – Rus Wooton

When the Decepticons attack the Autobots at their weakest moment, an unlikely new hero joins the battle! With human and Transformer robots lives at stake, can Optimus Prime unlock the true power behind the Matrix of Leadership to save them both?
Four issues in and picking up it’s fourth comic of the week spot. This relaunch of the Robots in Disguise franchise has been nothing short of spectacular and DWJ has been an inspired choice of writer and artist. His highly dynamic style is the perfect match for this newly energised story of warring robots. This is a comic that demands your attention and is not afraid to do the unexpected. If you thought you were traumatised by the 1986 film then you’d better sit down before reading this series. Highly recommended.
The Sensational She-Hulk
Issue 4
Marvel Comics
Script – Rainbow Rowell
Art – Ig Guara
Colours – Dee Cunniffe
Letters – Joe Caramagna
Buy digitally on Comixology/Kindle – The Sensational She-Hulk #4 (Link)
SHE-HULK and JACK OF HEARTS go on vacation…IN SPACE! Someone from Jack’s past is looking for him. When two heavy hitters like She-Hulk and Jack of Hearts are in SERIOUS DANGER, that’s a huge problem.
LEGACY #182
Still one of the best books Marvel is putting out and consistently always far too low in the Pull rankings on League of Comic Geeks. more of you need to be picking up this absolutely brilliant comic. As a Jack of Hearts fan this book was always going to be a pull, but Rainbow and her team have made this a story of love and friendship that is beautifully told and I’m over the. moon to read.
Rise of the Powers of X
Issue 1
Marvel Comics
Script – Kieron Gillen
Art – R.B. Silva
Colours – David Curiel
Letters – Clayton Cowles
Buy digitally on Comixology/Kindle – Rise of the Powers of X #1 (Link)
THE FIGHT FOR KRAKOA HAS BEEN LOST! Ten years ago, the mutants returned from their exile to try and reclaim the Earth from the forces of Orchis. They failed. Now, within the victorious Orchis with their gauntlet choking the world, Nimrod and Omega Sentinel put their plan within a plan into action. They are to summon their binary god to consume everything in their accession. All that stands between them is the X-Men. What can they do? They’re the X-Men. They’ll find a way. That’s their power. So begins a story beyond time and space, with the rise of powers beyond our petty human intelligence. From writer Kieron Gillen (IMMORTAL X-MEN, UNCANNY X-MEN) and artist R.B. Silva (POWERS OF X, CAPTAIN AMERICA: SYMBOL OF TRUTH) comes half of the story that will bring the Krakoa Age to its conclusion!
The partner book to Fall of the House of X hits this week. Set 10 years afters it’s sister book expect to see a whole new team of X-Men. The Krakoan Ages looks to be going out with a bang.
Adventureman: Ghost Lights
Issue 1
Image Comics
Script – Matt Fraction
Art – Terry Dodson and Rachel Dodson
Letters – Clayton Cowles
Buy digitally on Comixology/Kindle – Adventureman: Ghost Lights #1 (Link)
NEW STORY ARC
When the Good Guys of the Golden Age come back, all their ghosts follow—now Claire, the new Adventureman, and her maybe-beau Chris, the new Crossdraw Kid, defend peace on earth from a phantom empire of crime!By MATT FRACTION (SEX CRIMINALS, Hawkeye) and TERRY RACHEL DODSON (RED ONE, Harley Quinn).
Rescheduled from 15th December so you’ve no excuse to miss this one.
Finally, more Adventureman. It’s curious that this series is launching under its own mini-series rather than continuing the previous Adventureman title, but I hope this two issue run with not be the end of this title.
On the Radar, these are comics I’ve not got on my physical Pull List, but are books I’ll pick up digitally or in trades:
