We have 10 new comics for you across the Pull List and On The Radar this week. The Comic of the Week title goes to Damn Them All #6 from BOOM! Studios. The other 3 comics on the main Pull List all come from Marvel Comics. Our On The Radar selections are 6 comics from DC Comics, Image Comics, DC Black Label, Dynamite and Marvel Comics. And MEANWHILE… features two new Kickstarters, Bolt-01: A Tribute and Geezer issue 2.
In the epic conclusion of the first story arc of Damn Them All, Alfie’s secret plans for his death are revealed!
But it turns out Hell wasn’t all it’s cracked up to be-until his meddling made eternity a nightmare.
Ellie will do everything she can to get what she needs from Theo, and the last demon she would have picked might just be the one to help.
Will “Bloody El” be able to set the underworld right, or will someone else have to get the job done?
Can’t believe we are at the of the first story arc already. This has been a great book and it’s great to hear the series has been upgraded from a mini-series to an ongoing series. Charlie is doing some career best work here and it’s great to see Spurrier get to work with moody magicians again too. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for Ellie “Bloody El” Hawthorne.

Dave Evans Tribute Annual
In 2021 we lost Dave Evans, letterer, artist and editor for 2000AD fanzines Zarjaz and Dogbreath, as well as the independant antholgy title Futurequake. Now Alan Holloway and Ed Doyle have put together Bolt-01: A Tribute, a 140+ page UK style hardback annual featuring a whole host of UK comic talent. All profits from the sale of the annual will go to SOBS, Survivors Of Bereavement By Suicide, as requested by Dave’s family.
Dave was a huge part of the UK comics scene and this annual looks like a fitting tribute to someone we all miss. Here is the full story from the campaign Kickstarter page –
Hi
I don’t want to get into a whole essay here, as if you’re reading this you very likely knew of Dave Evans, or know one of the MANY creators who have helped make this tribute.
Dave was a comics guy, one of the best. A husband, father, letterer, artist and editor. He oversaw the 2000AD fanzines Zarjaz and Dogbreath, as well as the independant antholgy title Futurequake. Several future UK comic stars started under Dave’s tutorship (and red pen). He also used his lettering and art skills in many more indie publications.
In 2021 Dave was taken from us, in fact took himself from us and that just makes it harder to handle. Why? I don’t know, but I know that it can happen to anyone, anyone at all, and if you are one of those wandering towards the edge please talk to someone about it at least.
Anyway, in 2022 myself (Alan Holloway) and Ed Doyle decided a tribute of some kind would be in order, and we put the word out. Boy, were we flooded by offers from some of the most talented writers, artists, colourists and letterers out there. There really was (and is) a lot of people who wanted to do something to honour and remember Dave. It was especially nice to have a few professional creators take time out from earning a living to help out.
A year later, and we have an old school style annual that is way bigger than we anticipated, but there was just too much awesome stuff to turn any away. Over 140 pages await you, dear reader, and it really is a high quality compilation with original material including a few strips Dave edited and lettered for a Futurequake issue that sadly never happened. We are blessed to be able to finally set them free here.
So who is in it? There’s way too many people to jot down here, suffice to say they all absolutely rock and you’ll love what they’ve done here. Here’s the contents page if you want a look.
I hope that anyone who knew Dave or just loved the UK comic scene will pledge to this amazing campaign. You can pledge now and until Monday 10th April on the Bolt-01: A Tribute Kickstarter page (Link)
Geezer Not So Difficult 2nd Album
I backed the first issue of Geezer last year and now William Potter and Philip Bond return for the second issue. I loved the book and have already pledge for this one and I’ve also gone for the 3 colour t-shirt add-on too.
Here’s the official story from the Kickstarter page for this issue –
In the feisty follow-up to the critically acclaimed debut, the UK’s biggest Britpop also-rans, Geezer, get lost in the USA where they’re appreciated even less. On a Stateside tour to forget, ‘London’ Geezer grin and bare all in support of their arch-rivals Clobber. College towns and trousers down, singer Martin Bland flies the flag for beer and fags, losing his marbles and dignity on the highway. With Geezer’s ladette drummer Jess flirting with the opposition, Martin is green with envy and dodgy pills.
Plus! Revisit Geezer’s early struggles, ligging at Syndrome, audience-baiting at the Bull and Gate, all-star cameos, tequila slammers, and unexpected trysts.
Check out the promotional video below featuring some music from Potter. Watching this also makes me want the team to make a small animated cartoon of the Geezer adventures.
I love the 7″ format and if you’re a lover of 90s brit-pop then you should dive in and pledge for this book now. You can pledge now and until Saturday 15th April on the Geezer #2 Kickstarter page (Link)
