Helen returns to the grounds of Wyndhorn House from what appears to have been from a fantastical warrior paradise. Was what she experienced real or from the mind of her late father who penned stories of a barbaric adventurer in a bizarre land.
We continue the captivating journey of Helen Cole as she returns to the grounds of Wyndhorn House. The creative team, led by writer Tom King and artist Bilquis Evely, deliver another stunning issue filled with fantasy and adventure. Evely’s artwork is, once again, a highlight of the series. Her detailed and expressive illustrations bring the characters and settings to life, enhancing the overall reading experience. Matheus Lopes, complements Evely’s art with a vibrant palette that captures the fantastical elements of the story. This is a beautiful new fairy tale unfolding in our hands.
Man’s Best
Issue 4
BOOM! Studios
Script – Pornsak Pichetshote

Buy digitally on Comixology/Kindle – Man’s Best #4 (Link)
In the penultimate issue of the unforgettable space adventure, The Musketeers find themselves in another new biome-a vast metropolis teeming with humanoid creatures, but they wonder if their search will be in vain.
But a hopeful discovery isn’t far off, along with someone unexpected from their crew!
I’m really enjoying this thrilling and heartwarming journey of three cybernetically enhanced service animals aboard the Starship Horizon. Pichetshote and Lonergan, delve deeper into the sci-fi action and animal heroics in this issue, that have made the series a standout in 2024. Lonergan’s art continues to impress, with a sense of whimsy that contrasts with the darker undertones of the story. The visuals are both captivating and emotionally resonant, making us feel deeply connected to the characters and their plight.

With pockets of resistance gathering forces and information to fight back, the young Turtles learn about the bloody history of the Hamato Clan’s fight against the Foot… as well as discover revelations about themselves that will shape their futures. The legacy continues as legendary TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman reassembles the acclaimed creative team for the next epic chapter of The Last Ronin!
This second issue of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin II – Re-Evolution continues to build on the strong foundation laid by the excellent first issue. Written by Kevin Eastman and Tom Waltz, with art by Isaac Escorza, Esau Escorza, and Ben Bishop, this issue delves deeper into the challenges faced by the new generation of Turtles as they navigate a decaying New York City. We get to see more of the exploration of the new generations Turtles’ training and their growth as a team. The interactions between the characters are heartfelt and genuine, making us invested in their journey and what happens next.
John Constantine, Hellblazer: Dead in America
Issue 6
DC Black Label
Script – Simon Spurrier
Art – Aaron Campbell
Colours – Jordie Bellaire
Buy digitally on Comixology/Kindle – John Constantine, Hellblazer: Dead in America #6 (Link)
SWAMP THING GUEST-STARS IN A BRUTAL TURNING POINT FOR THE SERIES! It’s here, on the outskirts of Las Vegas, where the trouble hounding John since his arrival in America finally catches up to him. Dream promises the arrival of an emissary who will help guide John toward the source of evil plaguing the country, but is their trust in this unknown envoy misplaced? And will it force John to come clean to Nat and Noah about his un-deadly secret?
This issue continues to deliver the dark and gritty storytelling that fans of John Constantine have come to expect. With Swamp Thing appearing as a guest star this feels just like a continuation of their adventures from Alan Moore’s days. Campbell is an exceptional artist , capturing the eerie and supernatural elements of the story perfectly. The dark and moody visuals complement the intense and suspenseful narrative, making this one of the best Hellblazer stories I’ve read.
The Sensational She-Hulk
Issue 9
Marvel Comics
Script – Rainbow Rowell
Art – Andrés Genolet
Colours – Dee Cunniffe
Buy digitally on Comixology/Kindle – The Sensational She-Hulk #9 (Link)
The most explosive SHE-HULK story in HISTORY starts here! Something is brewing that is going to have effects felt beyond just SENSATIONAL SHE-HULK. You cannot afford to miss it!
LEGACY #187
Rainbow Rowell’s writing continues to shine as she crafts a story that is both engaging and impactful. This issue begins with a brewing conflict that hints at significant consequences for She-Hulk and the Marvel Universe. Rowell’s ability to balance humour, action, and emotional depth makes this one of the best comics Marvel is putting out.
The Immortal Thor
Issue 12
Marvel Comics
Script – Al Ewing
Art – Valentina Pinti
Buy digitally on Comixology/Kindle – The Immortal Thor #12 (Link)
GODSDEATH! In Andlang, land of spirits, the Utgard-Odin challenged Thor to battle for the rune of his brother, the war god Tyr. For Tyr was changed by strange forces, within and without… and to restore him would come only at equal cost. This is the story of the IMMORTAL THOR… and the Odinson’s end.
This issue promises to be a thrilling and emotional conclusion to the current arc of the series. Written by Al Ewing and illustrated by Valentina Pinti, this issue should deliver a powerful narrative that explores the depths of Thor’s character and his relationship with Tyr. The bond between the brothers will be tested in ways that will be both heartbreaking and inspiring.
The Amazing Spider-Man

The Spaceknight joins Namor to battle monsters of the deep, and Shang-Chi lends his deadly hands to thwart the Wraiths’ black magic! Meanwhile, Rom’s human friend Brandy Clark is transformed, and the impending arrival of the dreaded Dweller on the Threshold may spell doom for all! It’s a cosmic epic featuring Doctor Strange, the In-Betweener, the Living Tribunal… and the human form of Rom?! Has he been freed from his armor at long last? All that, plus the Skrulls, the ever-lovin’ Thing — and a tragedy that even Rom cannot withstand!
Collecting ROM (1979) #30-50 and ANNUAL #1-2, and MARVEL TWO-IN-ONE (1974) #99.
You should all know ROM is one of my favourite comic book series. This is the highly anticipated second volume of this collection that continues to chronicle the adventures of ROM the Spaceknight. This second omnibus is packed with thrilling storylines and epic battles. Rom’s relentless quest to rid Earth of the Dire Wraiths brings him face-to-face with formidable foes such as the Metal Master, Mystique, and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, as well as allies like Namor, Shang-Chi, Doctor Strange, and the Thing. This huge volume would make a fantastic addition to any comic book collection. It offers a perfect blend of action, drama, and character development, making it an essential read for both long-time fans, like myself, and for newcomers who have never experienced the wonderful world of ROM.
